FAQ’s
What is mudjacking?
1
Mudjacking is a process used to lift and level sunken concrete. A slurry mixture is pumped beneath the slab to fill voids and raise the concrete back into place.
How does concrete leveling work?
2
Small holes are drilled into the concrete, and material is injected underneath to fill empty space. As pressure builds, the slab is carefully lifted back to a level position.
Is mudjacking better than replacing concrete?
3
In many cases, yes. If the concrete is still in good condition, lifting it is faster and more cost-effective than removing and replacing it. However, severely damaged concrete may still need replacement.
How long does mudjacking last?
4
When done properly, mudjacking can last for many years. The lifespan depends on soil conditions and drainage, but it is considered a reliable long-term solution.
What types of concrete can be lifted?
5
We commonly lift and level driveways, walkways, patios, garage floors, porches, steps, and other concrete slabs. If the slab is structurally sound, it can usually be lifted.
Will there be holes in my concrete?
6
Yes, small holes are drilled during the process, but they are patched afterward and blend in with the surrounding concrete.
How much does mudjacking cost?
7
The cost depends on the size of the area and how much lifting is needed. In most cases, mudjacking is significantly more affordable than full concrete replacement.
Can all sunken concrete be lifted?
8
Not always. If the concrete is severely cracked or structurally compromised, replacement may be the better option. We evaluate each project to determine the right solution.
How soon can I use my concrete after lifting?
9
In most cases, the concrete can be used the same day once the lifting process is complete.
Concrete sinks due to soil movement, erosion, poor compaction, or moisture changes. Over time, voids form beneath the slab, causing it to settle unevenly.
10
Why does concrete sink?
Do you offer free estimates?
11
Yes, we provide free estimates. We’ll evaluate your concrete and let you know if mudjacking is the right solution.
Will lifting fix cracks in my concrete?
12
Lifting can help reduce stress on the slab, but it does not remove existing cracks. However, leveling the surface can help prevent further movement.
Is mudjacking messy?
13
The process is controlled and relatively clean. Any drilling and patching is contained, and the work area is cleaned up once the job is complete.
